Hnnng this is nearly late.

Since its never explained why my parents called them "beet labor" (in the comic). There was many groups of people of all colors that would look for work, but for some reason we only had them help with the sugar beets. From weeding to truck driving.

Not entirely sure why, because we could have used help on getting berries out of bean fields.

For this one summer, we had multiple families show up, all of them spoke fluent Spanish. For some reason, my dad had them split between two houses. Women and children in one, and dudes in the other. I'd ask him why, but I don't think he'd remember his reason. xD

Gotta look after 'dem beets man.

I take it Jayd and the fam never really saw people of said ethnicity around that often in their area? Love how Zach is a tint darker than him and he's like they're darker than you. It's cute. heh.

As for the split houses I wanna guess less fraternizing between the sexes the more focus could be put in to working? I dunno. X)

xD that image is still funny.

The parents have. The dweeby boys less so. TV and all that. Zach (like Terry) sometimes gets mistaken for another ethnicity cause he tans so well. xD There will be so much more on that later.

I liked to assume that it had to do with the house layout. One house was less child friendly than the other, but not everyone could fit in the one. I felt bad because it was like bathrooms, the women's was much cooler than the dude's. xD

Love the brothers' interactions over this new group of arrivals. Should be interesting to see how this goes. XD

No lie. I didn't actually encounter a person of different ethnicity (Hispanic or African American anyway)around the town I lived in until I was in 6th grade.

Otherwise, like Zach and Jayd, most of my experience was through TV shows and movies...which probably aren't the best things to learn from.

Yeah, if it wasn't for people coming and going, I wouldn't have until 5th grade. In a way, I can understand why they don't travel up, there's nothing to do in Eastern Montana. xD Like, nothing. Until the last 5 years.

Yeah, though, all those badass sitcoms and Black Ranger were cool people. I think if you looked back at some of those, they were wise beyond their years. Ahead of their time. Black ranger prob not as much as stuff like Family Matters.
